Brittany Alverson of Osakis was named to the spring 2009 dean’s list at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. She is a 2006 graduate of Osakis High School and is the daughter of Richard and Christine Alverson of Osakis.

Danialle Rupert, Osakis, received highest honors destination for maintaining a grade point average above 3.90 during spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has announced its dean’s list for spring semester 2009. Students on the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Students receiving these honors were Tyler Dahlheimer, Alexandria, a senior geography major in the college of liberal arts, and Cory Abers, Villard, a senior in the management program at the school of business and economics.

Sara Peterson of Osakis has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Concordia University, St. Paul. Peterson is a junior majoring in finance. Students with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are recognized for superior academic performance by being named to the dean’s list.

St. Cloud State University has announced the names of 1,417 students whose academic achievement placed them on the spring semester dean’s list. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Among them are Jessica Anne Hiltner, Osakis, college of education, elementary education, 4.0 and Tomi Jean Kirckof, Westport, college of education, Elementary Education, 4.0.

President Kevin Kopischke is pleased to announce the following students received diplomas at Alexandria Technical College’s graduation ceremony held May 15:

Breanna Gould, Osakis, received an associate in applied science degree in health and fitness specialist.

Barbara Long, Osakis, received an associate in science degree in individualized professional studies. Long graduated with honors and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Orry Trisco, Osakis, received an associate in applied science degree in finance and credit management.

Jared Vearrier, Osakis, received an associate in applied science degree in manufacturing engineering technician and an associate in applied science degree in fluid power technology. Vearrier is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Kyle Price, Osakis, graduated May 15 from Minnesota State University – Moorhead magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry.
