As Osakis rings in a new year, the Osakis Review will start 2011 with a big change.
Osakis Review Managing Editor Greta Petrich will pass the torch to a new managing editor, Amy Chaffins.
Petrich said the decision to leave the newspaper was made with her family in mind.
“It was a tough decision, but it’s something that will be the best move for my family,” she said. “I want to thank all of the faithful subscribers and businesses that continue to support the Osakis Review each week.”
Chaffins comes to the Review from the Starbuck Times and Pope County Tribune, where she worked as editor for seven years.
She lives in Alexandria with her husband, Brandon.
Chaffins is excited to be working with the people of Osakis and looks forward to learning more about the community.
Petrich believes Chaffins is a good fit, noting many similarities between the Starbuck and Osakis communities and encourages the community to take the time to get to know the new person behind the Osakis Review.
“I will truly miss my readers and all the interaction with the community of Osakis,” Petrich said. “I am confident Amy will do a good job – the Osakis Review is in good hands.”
You can reach Chaffins at (320) 859-2143, (320) 763-3133 or e-mail achaffins@
