Osakis eighth seed in 5A-West baseball
The Osakis baseball team was seeded eighth in the Subsection 5A West tournament field after taking an 11-7 record into its final game of the regular season last night, Tuesday.
The Osakis baseball team was seeded eighth in the Subsection 5A West tournament field after taking an 11-7 record into its final game of the regular season last night, Tuesday.
That seeding means the Silverstreaks will have to play a play-in game against ninth-seeded Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City for the right to reach the quarterfinals. The Falcons were 1-15 heading into their final two regular season games earlier this week.
Awaiting the winner of that game will be top-seeded Browerville. The Tigers are 17-2 with their only losses coming against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. The quarterfinal games begin at the high seeds on Friday at 5 p.m.
