Free car seat clinic offered for parents

The Alexandria Police Department and Douglas County Public Health are hosting a free car seat clinic on Wednesday, July 25 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Alexandria Fire Department.

The Alexandria Police Department and Douglas County Public Health are hosting a free car seat clinic on Wednesday, July 25 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Alexandria Fire Department.

This is a free opportunity to make sure car seats are installed in vehicles correctly and if the correct seats are being used.

The clinic is open to the public. No appointment is necessary. People will be served on a first come, first served basis.

Did you know…

• Seven out of 10 child safety seats are used incorrectly in Minnesota

• Minnesota state law requires all children up to age 8 or 4’ 9” to ride in a federally approved child safety seat or booster seat
