On May 3, John Hinderschied, 28, of Alexandria, was sentenced to 104 months in prison for a first degree controlled substance crime involving methamphetamine. Hinderschied was distributing large amounts of methamphetamine from a residence located on East Main Street in Osakis.

Scott Tarczon, 38, of Villard, was sentenced to three years in prison recently following a road rage incident that occurred on Highway 27 outside of Alexandria last October. Two off-duty Douglas County deputies were traveling home from a meeting in the Twin Cities in one of their personal vehicles when they encountered Tarczon.
