A fundraiser for the Osakis Armed Forces Memorial was determined a great success by Osakis VFW Post Commander Mike Kral, citing a total of $8,600 raised in the event held Sunday, August 12. The funds were earned through donations at a bake sale, silent auction, live auction and sloppy joe luncheon, Kral said.

Post-It note crafts were made before supper. After supper it was auction time and everybody had play money to bid with. Thanks to Mary George and Theresa Zajler-Williams for all their help on Thursday morning doing manicures. The Osakis Review was read before dinner.
