School notes: No Child Left Behind legislation
All students in Minnesota public schools must take tests in grades 3-8. These tests are part of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001. This act of Congress was proposed by the President Bush administration in 2001 and passed into law on January 8, 2002.

School board members in Pelican Rapids Monday approved a four-day school week to begin this fall.
