CMH News: Residents enjoy salad luncheon on patio

Week of July 16-22

Sunday morning a non-denominational worship service was held in the Terrace Heights Chapel, led by Steve Fredrickson. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped and to those who conducted a Catholic communion service.

Monday morning we read out of the Reminisce magazine during Read and Remember. Bingo was played at Terrace Heights in the afternoon.

Father David Petron of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Osakis and St. Nicholas of Belle River celebrated mass on Tuesday morning in the Terrace Heights chapel. The Rosary was prayed before mass. Assisting were Dick Daas, Bob Schluender, Eunice LiBaire, Marilynn Grundman, Pat Mohror, Kathy Berg, Mary Hunter, Loretta Becker, Charmaine Hartmann and Phyllis Tegals.

Tuesday afternoon, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary hosted a bingo game. Assisting and bringing the prizes were Gayle Cahill, Marty Kern, Karen Vogh and her granddaughter Pacey. Blackout winners were, Leonard Anderson, Velma Bjorstrom and Wanda Norris. For an afternoon snack, everyone enjoyed fresh picked raspberries from Cider Time Nursery. A big thank you to Brenda Majerus.

Bingo was played at West View on Wednesday afternoon.

Lots of manicures were done on Thursday morning during Nifty Nails. Thanks to Julie Kakac for all her help. The Osakis Review was read before dinner.

For lunch today we had a salad luncheon outside in the backyard on the patio. There were 11 different salads and about 30 residents and tenants enjoyed the outing. We received many compliments from everyone, so I guess that means we'll have to do it again sometime.

The Viking Library Bookmobile stopped by.

Our monthly resident council meeting was held Thursday afternoon. After the meeting we served fresh zucchini bread, warm, right out of the oven. Yum, it was so good. I have to thank John and Jan Temple for the zucchini.

Bingo was played on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
