CMH News: Residents enjoy treats from Tip Top

Week of July 23-29

Sunday morning a non-denominational worship service was held in the Terrace Heights Chapel, led by Steve Fredrickson. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped and to those who conducted a Catholic communion service.

Bingo was played at Terrace Heights on Monday afternoon.

Father David Petron of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Osakis and St. Nicholas of Belle River celebrated mass on Tuesday morning in the Terrace Heights chapel. The Rosary was prayed before mass. Assisting were Eunice LiBaire, Pat Mohror, Mary Hunter, Kathy Berg, Loretta Becker, Charmaine Hartmann, Dick Daas and Bob Schluender.

Ladies from the Osakis Lutheran Church Rebekah and Miriam circles hosted the monthly birthday party. After playing several games of card bingo and furnishing the prizes, they served strawberry shortcake. Assisting were LaRayne Johnson, Mary Redetzke, Wilma Triebenbach and Barb Larson.

Bingo was played at West View on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Steve Hilde of the Salem, Sauk Valley and Little Sauk Lutheran churches conducted a chapel service Wednesday afternoon and Bible study on Thursday.

Thanks to Karen Vogh and her granddaughter Pacey, for helping with manicures on Thursday during Nifty Nails. The Osakis Review was read before dinner. Rev. Rich Fitzer of the Osakis Lutheran Church conducted a Communion service and led a Bible study group. Assisting were Kearney Frank, Howard Berg, Jim Heuer and LaRayne Johnson. Thanks to Joan Aasboe for playing piano.

Thursday afternoon we enjoyed the beautiful weather outside on the patio and a special treat from the Tip Top Dairy Bar. We served mint chocolate, chocolate covered cherry and cookie dough cyclones and vanilla, strawberry and chocolate shakes. We had Tip-Top gift cards from our Mother's Day party that we used. Everyone enjoyed the special treat and conversation.

Bingo was played on Friday afternoon.
