5:30 to 7 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of Osakis, 101 West Oaks Street, invites everyone to the April community supper. The menu will be a baked potato bar with all kinds of toppings, salad and dessert. All are

welcome. Free-will donations accepted.

6 to 8 p.m. Vaccination clinic for dogs at the garage next to the Osakis City Hall, 14th Nokomis St. East. Dog licenses are due May 1. Owners of dogs that are not licensed will face penalties.

Saturday, April 28

6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Osakis High School Prom Grand March in the gymnasium. General admission tickets are $2; advance tickets (on the floor) are $5.

Sunday, April 29

1 to 2:30 p.m. "Reza Live!" featuring acclaimed illusionist at the Osakis High School Auditorium. Advance tickets for $12 available at First National Bank or True Value. Tickets will be $15 at the door. Proceeds go to the After Prom Party.

Wednesday, May 2

6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Self-defense class at the Osakis High School gymnasium.

Saturday, May 12

9 to 11 a.m. Free hazardous waste collection during Osakis Community Clean-Up Day in the Osakis Liquor Store parking lot, 803 Nokomis Street. See www.popedouglasrecycle.com for more information.

Al Edenloff
Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie. He graduated with honors from Moorhead State University with a degree in mass communications, print journalism. He interned at the Echo Press in the summer of 1983 and was hired a year later as a sports reporter. He also worked as a news reporter/photographer. Al is a four-time winner of the Minnesota Newspaper Association's Herman Roe Award, which honors excellence in editorial writing.
