CMH News: A patio party with root beer floats
Sunday morning a non-denominational worship service was held in the Terrace Heights Chapel led by Steve Fredrickson. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped and to those who conducted a Catholic communion service.
Monday morning during Read and Remember, we talked about carnations and roses. A single rose of any color depicts a way to say thank you. A red rose is a way to say, "I love you." Two roses entwined together communicate, "marry me."
Bingo was played at Terrace Heights in the afternoon.
Father David Petron of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Osakis and St. Nicholas of Belle River celebrated mass on Tuesday morning in the Terrace Heights chapel. The Rosary was prayed before mass. Assisting were Marilynn Grundman, Cathy Winter, Pat Mohror, Mary Hunter, Loretta Becker, Phyllis Tegals, Dick Daas and Bob Schluender.
Ladies from the Long Bridge Lutheran church hosted the monthly birthday party on Tuesday afternoon. After a game of bingo, they served a delicious assortment of desserts for lunch. Bringing the bingo prizes and desserts were Ardell Volkman, Donna Huntsmen and Carole Scott. Also helping today was Haili Gordon. Blackout winners today were Edna Sargent and Virginia Chapman.
A fun game of whist was played Wednesday morning by Frances Sauer, Helen McClain, Leroy Mackove and Ruth Hinnenkamp. Bingo was played at West View in the afternoon. Rev. Steve Hilde of the Salem, Sauk Valley and Little Sauk Lutheran churches conducted a chapel service at CMH after bingo. He also led a Bible study group on Thursday.
Lots of manicures were done on Thursday morning during Nifty Nails. Rev. Rich Fitzer of the Osakis Lutheran church conducted a communion service in the Terrace Heights chapel. Assisting were Kearney Frank, LaRayne Johnson and Don and Sheila Watschke. The Osakis Review was read before dinner.
Thursday afternoon we had a patio party with root beer floats. Thanks to all the help including, Taylor Walker, Alexis, Hailey and Kaelyn Lozano, Avery Graff and Haili Gordon. They were sure a lot of help pushing the residents around to look at the garden and all the flowers. Thanks again.
Bingo was played Friday afternoon.
