Speaker to share story of brush with death
When high school farm kid Ben Hylden lost control of his car on an icy back road, he was tossed from the vehicle and came close to death.
Ten years later, as a motivational speaker and author, he shares his story of a faith that sustained him through his recovery and gave him a new perspective on what matters most.
Hylden will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the Osakis High School gym.
The local Fellowship of Christian Athletes is hosting the event, which is sponsored by an anonymous donor, said elementary school principal Shad Schmidt.
"I think he has a great message," Schmidt said. "Mostly it's about perseverance."
