Moonshine Madness kicked off Saturday morning with a color run as semi-trucks began to arrive, and food and business booths set up for the day of festivities.

“The main thing was to have fun,” said Brad Hoffarth, the athletic director for Osakis Public Schools said about the run.

The semi-truck show runs from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. today, with winners receiving trophies, cash and gift card prizes.

An event organizer highlighted a semi-trailer displaying a message about how long it takes a semi-truck to stop while traveling at 65 mph - about two football fields. The other side of the trailer shows a picture of a semi-truck’s blind spots where cars nearby can’t be seen by the driver.

The semi-truck show will end at 3 p.m., followed by a semi-truck parade as they hit the road.

Other events to the Roaring 20’s theme festival include bull riding and live music.
