Sunshine and 40 degrees paved the way for an enjoyable afternoon spent on the ice in Osakis on Saturday, March 3, which marked the 14th annual Ice Golf Tournament.

Since the weather cooperated, the event was able to be held on Lake Osakis. For the past two years, it was moved to the Industrial Park area due to warm weather and unsafe ice.

"It went really well, we had 21 teams," said Craig Schultz, one of the event organizers. "It seems like people like it better out there (on the lake) and have a better time."

Prizes were awarded for first, third, fifth, seventh and ninth place, as well as for the most unique headwear.

The tournament acts as a fundraiser for the Osakis Fire Department and is sponsored by the Osakis VFW.
