Are you ready for a spooky good time in Osakis?
Here are a couple of options families can enjoy:
Trunk or Treat
The First Presbyterian Church of Osakis will hold its “Trunk or Treat” on Halloween night from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. All children are welcome to come trick or treating in a fun, safe environment in the church parking lot at 101 West Oak Street.
The church will also be giving out Halloween treats. Those who want to join in the fun but don’t really have trick-or-treaters at home are invited to bring treats to share in the church parking lot.
Plenty of parking spaces will be available, according to organizers.
Community Halloween Party
The Osakis Women’s Association will hold the annual “Osakis Community Halloween Party” at the Osakis High School from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Halloween night.
Kids should dress in their Halloween costumes and be prepared for a lot of candy, fun and prizes. The party is for children through sixth grade.
The kids will enjoy a light supper of chicken nuggets, chips, cookies and punch. Adults and older kids can eat for a $1 donation.
Game tables will be set up around the perimeter of the cafeteria and each table will feature different games. Children will also have the opportunity to complete a craft project that they may take home.
New this year — a bouncy house will be set up.
Door prizes will also be awarded.
Those interested in volunteering should call Deb Murphy at 320-293-4491.
The event is co-sponsored by the Osakis Women's Association and the Osakis School District with financial support from the VFW, Osakis Lions, and the VFW Auxiliary.
