10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Make your own Native American Dream Catcher. Presented by the Runestone Museum at the Canary Beach Resort in Villard.

Saturday, July 7

1 p.m. The 11th annual Ferret Drive Floaters Pontoon/ Boat Parade on Lake Osakis, starting at the north end by Boss Creek. Best viewing from shore is at Head of the Lakes Resort or from the Battle Point County Park fishing pier. (See front page for more.)

Sunday, July 8

10:30 to 5 p.m. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Festival, featuring outdoor mass, polka, live music, raffle, bingo, beer garden, family games, food, silent auction.

Monday, July 9

10:45 a.m. to noon. Traveling Tree House at Park Osagi.

Friday, July 13

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Osakis City-Wide Garage Sales, downtown.

5:30 to 8 p.m. Roddin' Round the Lake Social Night/Customer Appreciation Feed, serving pulled pork sandwiches, drinks and dessert at the NAPA store.

Saturday July 14

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Osakis City-Wide Garage Sales, downtown.

8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Roddin Round the Lake Show-n-Shine. Registration from 8 a.m. to noon. Doors open for Celebrity Auction at Pollard Community Center at 9 a.m., followed by the auction at 10 a.m. Kids games from 10 a.m. to noon. Prize drawings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. "Bobbin' Round Town from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Awards at 2:30 p.m., followed by a parade to Osakis Community Memorial Home.

8:30 to 3 p.m. Permit to carry class, Osakis General Store.

Al Edenloff

Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie. He graduated with honors from Moorhead State University with a degree in mass communications, print journalism. He interned at the Echo Press in the summer of 1983 and was hired a year later as a sports reporter. He also worked as a news reporter/photographer. Al is a four-time winner of the Minnesota Newspaper Association's Herman Roe Award, which honors excellence in editorial writing.
