7 p.m. Community Memorial Home (Galeon) annual business meeting in the dining room of West View Assisted Living Apartments. All members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Sunday, September 23

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Salem Lutheran Church pork chop dinner and bazaar. A free-will offering will be taken.

Wednesday, September 26

5:30 to 7 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of Osakis invites everyone to the Friendship Table Meal, which includes pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and dessert. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Sunday, October 7

Noon to 6 p.m. St. Alexis Church sausage supper in West Union, featuring smoked sausage, sauerkraut, spare ribs, head cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, glazed carrots, bread, dessert, coffee and milk. All stands open at 11 a.m. in outdoor tent. Refreshments, pull tabs, quilt raffle, bingo, pumpkins, squash, gourds and more. Buffet-style dining or drive-through takeouts.

Al Edenloff

Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie. He graduated with honors from Moorhead State University with a degree in mass communications, print journalism. He interned at the Echo Press in the summer of 1983 and was hired a year later as a sports reporter. He also worked as a news reporter/photographer. Al is a four-time winner of the Minnesota Newspaper Association's Herman Roe Award, which honors excellence in editorial writing.
