December 15-21

Bingo was played at West View Monday afternoon. Joyce Polensky entertained at Community Memorial Home after bingo.

Father David Petron of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Osakis and St. Nicholas of Belle River conducted a Catholic communion service on Tuesday morning in the Terrace Heights Chapel. The rosary was prayed before mass. Assisting him were Marilyn Grundman, Sandy Waldvogel, Joyce Klimek, Mary Hunter, Loretta Becker, Anne Nathe, Bob Schluender and Dick Daas.

After mass, students from St. Agnes came and sang a few Christmas songs. Thank you to Miss Pat, Mrs. Weiner, Mrs. Stowe and the preschool through second-grade kids for coming up and always thinking of us this time of year.

Tuesday afternoon, ladies from the VFW Ladies Auxiliary hosted a bingo game. Assisting and bringing the prizes were Gayle Cahill, Karen Vogh and Julie Kakac.

Card games were played on Wednesday morning. Bingo was played on Wednesday afternoon in Terrace Heights. Rev. John Smith conducted a chapel service in the Terrace Heights Chapel after bingo.

Wednesday evening, we had a few religious education students from Elim Lutheran Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church come up and visit with residents, as well as a group from Osakis Lutheran Church who did some caroling.

Several manicures were done on Thursday morning during Nifty Nails.

Rev. Rich Fitzer of the Osakis Lutheran church conducted a communion service on Tuesday morning in the Terrace Heights Chapel. Assisting him were LaRayne Johnson, Kearney Frank, Don and Sheila Watschke, and Jim Heuer.

The Osakis Review was read before dinner. The Viking Library Bookmobile stopped.

Thursday afternoon, we decorated Christmas cookies. Louie and Sherry Gray entertained while we decorated.

Friday morning before lunch, Randy Resley and a group of band students came to play Christmas music for us.

Bingo was played on Friday and Saturday afternoon. Saturday morning, we made a reindeer craft using wood slices. They turned out very cute.
