St. Agnes School in Osakis presented a Christmas play Thursday that played off a baseball theme.

Christmas Play By Play told the story of the “St. Agnes Crusaders” baseball team that finds out their new coach is Jesus, the savior they’ve been waiting for.

The songs blended traditional Christmas carols, such as Away in a Manger, Angels We Have Heard on High and Go Tell It on the Mountain, with new songs about baseball and teamwork.

The presentation included chants, line dancing, soloists and candle bearers. Children also dressed up as angels, shepherds, sheep, wise men, Mary and Joseph.
