District Five VFW will host a Veterans' Benefits Forum Town Hall meeting on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at the Starbuck VFW Post.

The meeting is open to anyone but the VFW hopes to have at least one representative from each District Five Post.

Those who plan to attend include State Representatives Mary Franson, District 8B, Paul Anderson District 12B, Jeff Backer, District 12A, and possibly Dave Baker, District 17B; county service officers Josh Brummond from Douglas County and Hugh Reimers from Pope and Stevens counties; a representative from the Alexandria Veterans' Clinic — Stephanie Coleman, a representative from the St. Cloud Veterans Hospital — Kerri Schwegel, and a representative from the Sauk Centre Eagles Healing Nest — Melanie Butler.

Nine topics for discussion will be on the agenda and a question and answer session will follow. Another date to circle on your calendar is March 12 — Vets Day on the Hill, noted Mike Kral of Osakis, District 5 VFW legislative chairman.

"Participation in these events shows our legislators that we are concerned and they, in turn, will

be concerned about us," Kral said.
