Car wash to help infants, families this Sunday

A team of entrepreneurs from Osakis will be washing cars Sunday, June 23 to raise money for Ivy’s Legacy Foundation – a non-profit organization that provides comfort and support to infants and families in need.

The donation car wash will take place at West Central Glass, 301 Broadway, in Alexandria from noon to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go to the foundation.

The entrepreneurs are Kasondra Collins, Adam Saltmarsh, Cody DeWenter, Shane Massmann, Dacotah Stanek and Kenzie Schmiesing

They are also participating in a 468-mile bike ride across Iowa on July 21-27 to raise funds for the Ivy’s Legacy Foundation. The name of the ride is “RAGBRAI,” which stands for The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.

Their goal is to raise $15,000.

Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie. He graduated with honors from Moorhead State University with a degree in mass communications, print journalism.
