The streets of downtown Osakis were a hot rod heaven on Saturday, July 12

People near and far checked out more than 120 vintage vehicles at the 28th annual Roddin' Round the Lake Show-n-Shine car show sponsored by the Central Lakes Cruzers of Osakis.

Activities began Friday, July 12 with a social night and customer appreciation feed at NAPA Auto Parts.

The Show-n-Shine on Main Street began at 8 a.m. and heated up throughout the day, culminating with the awards ceremony at 2:15 p.m. After that, many of the car owners cruised over to the Galeon parking lot so nursing home residents could take a look.

Also, a celebrity auction took place at the Pollard Community Center, and there were children's games and music from "Bullet Bob" DJ Entertainment.

The Central Lakes Cruzers has 41 members and always has room for more. The club meets once a month. Anyone who is interested in joining can give Wayne Karl a call at 320-859-2887 or Dallas Triebenbach at 320-859-4326.
