Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon. The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. July 26 at the intersection of County Road 22 NW and Centennial Drive.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, here's what happened:

Lindsey Bucey, 41, of Scottsdale, Arizona, was eastbound on County Road 22 when she tried to do a U-turn maneuver at the intersection.

William Johnson, 47, of Osakis, was also driving eastbound on County Road 22. Johnson was driving a pickup towing a trailer with a large piece of equipment.

Bucey pulled out in front of Johnson and that is when the collision happened, according to the sheriff's office.

Bucey was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. She was flown from the scene by LifeLink III helicopter to the St. Cloud Hospital. A passenger in her car, Terrell Melville, 33, of Flower Mound, Texas, was taken to Alomere Health.

Johnson and his passenger, Timothy Krueger, 42, of Nelson, were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

Responding to the scene were the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Garfield Fire and First Responders, Alexandria Fire Department, North Ambulance and LifeLink III.
