A 60-year-old Long Prairie man was injured in a rollover in Todd County, about a mile northeast of Osakis, Monday morning, Aug. 19.

Donald Rousu was driving south on Highway 27 near 170th Street in Gordon Township when he reportedly fell asleep, crossed the northbound lane, entered the ditch, struck a driveway approach and vaulted into the trees, according to the State Patrol. The vehicle, a 2005 GMC Sierra, ended up on its roof.

Rousu, who was wearing a seat belt, was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted by Life Link to the St. Cloud Hospital. The State Patrol said his injuries were non-life-threatening.

Osakis police, the Todd County Sheriff's Office, Osakis Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance and Life Link III all responded to the crash, which happened shortly before 8 a.m.
