Crash near West Union injures three

A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near West Union east of Osakis sent three people to the hospital Monday, July 1.

Alicia Lynne Hens, 26, of Sauk Centre was driving west in a Buick Enclave near mile marker 117 at about 3:30 p.m. when she was rear-ended by a Ford Crew pickup driven by Denise Carol Waldvogel, 50, of Osakis, according to the State Patrol.

Hens and two of her passengers, Robert Leander Hens, 65, of Melrose, and Thomas Richard Hens, 27, of Sauk Centre, were taken to the Sauk Centre Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Waldvogel was not injured.

Both drivers and all the passengers were wearing seat belts.

Osakis police, Sauk Centre Ambulance and Todd County assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
