Junior golfer Alayna Eldred was on a mission to win the girls Class-AA state golf title this spring ever since taking third a year ago. She tied for third on June 14 at the Ridges at Sand Creek, but bulldozed several accolades on the way.

Eldred was awarded the team MVP award, earned All-Central Minnesota Conference honors as the medalist, took first in the Section 6AA meet and is a member of the academic all-conference team.

The Silverstreaks won the 6AA title at Blackberry Ridge by 19 strokes with a two-day team score of 759.

Eighth grader Kadyn Triebenbach took home the team Most Improved award, while freshman Lexi Dirkes joined Eldred on the all-conference team.

Eldred, Dirkes, Triebenbach and Marissa Reilly battled tough conditions on a difficult course to record a team score of 803 at the state meet.

Eighth grader Jayden Hensley was a member of the academic all-conference team, and she and Kiara Hensley earned varsity letters along with Reilly, Triebenbach, Dirkes and Eldred.

With no seniors on the roster, the Streaks will look to improve with another strong state run next season, and Eldred will continue her hunt for the state title.
