The Osakis wrestling team got a couple more dual wins on Tuesday night as the Silverstreaks went 2-1 at the Paynesville Quad.

Osakis beat BOLD in a 48-28 final and Quad County 45-36 around a 45-34 loss to Paynesville.

The Silverstreaks racked up huge points from 113 through 132 against BOLD as Logan Grove (113, 3:17), Kale Drevlow (120, 0:55), Garek Radtke (126, 0:41) and Nathan Kulzer (132) all secured pins. The Warriors were able to stick close, but Osakis put the match away with added wins from Duncan Vandergon (152, forfeit), Nathan Bjerk (170, fall, 2:38), Triston Stoetzel (182, fall, 0:22) and Ryan Milhausen (195, forfeit).

Grove got Osakis off to a good start in all three of the matches in Paynesville as he went 3-0 on the day at 113 pounds. He added a pin in 1:07 against Quad County. The Silverstreaks needed that boost as they fell behind 18-6 through four matches.

Radtke stopped the bleeding with a pin in 2:12 at 132 pounds, and Kulzer (138, 1:48) and Carsten Jacobson (145, 1:57) followed suit with pins themselves.

Quad County won the next four matches, but Osakis won the final four to secure the win. Stoetzel (182, fall, 0:36), Milhausen (195, forfeit), Brock Faber (220, fall, 2:22) and Dominic Strom (285, 7-2) put things away for the team win.

Osakis kept close against Paynesville, as well. Grove got another pin at 113, this time in 5:27. Kulzer did the same in 1:06 at 132, while Hunter Harlow pinned Brett Mages in 5:41 at 152.

Stoetzel made it a 3-0 day for him as he pinned Shawn Pinske in 3:28 at 170. Faber (220, fall, 3:30) and Strom (285, major decision, 11-0) also got wins that secured big points, but it wasn’t quite enough to secure the team win. Seven of Paynesville’s victories came by pins to help them get out  of their home quad with a perfect 3-0 record.

Osakis is back at it tonight, Thursday, as the Silverstreaks head to New York Mills for a dual that starts at 6.
