The Osakis girls basketball team struggled to get going offensively last Friday night as the Silverstreaks fell in a 45-33 game at Browerville-Eagle Valley.

Osakis (3-7) shot 25% (11-44). The Tigers (4-4) were not much better at 26.3 percent, but they did enough to come away with the win after putting up 28 second-half points.

“A tough game offensively for us,” Osakis head coach Pat Kalpin said. “We got into foul trouble early. They had a huge advantage at the free-throw line, which was a huge difference in the game. We simply need to regroup and get ourselves ready for the next game."

Browerville connected on 24-of-36 free throws, while Osakis was 6-of-10 from the line. Alyah Abrahamson led the Tigers with 15 points. Alexis Johanson was Osakis’ lone player in double figures with 11, while Abby Randall had eight points and seven rebounds.
