The Osakis boys and girls golf teams honored Lexi Dirkes and Chase Triebenbach as their team most outstanding players during the season-ending awards banquet recently.

Dirkes, a junior, was an all-conference player this season who tied for 32nd at the Class AA state meet at the Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan. Dirkes shot a two-day score of 179 (90, 89) in Jordan.

She was joined at state by sophomore Kadyn Triebenbach, who was also an all-league player in the Central Minnesota Conference this spring. Kadyn Triebenbach shot a 183 (94, 89) at the state tournament to finish tied for 41st.

Freshman Katie Helm was the second team-award winner for the Osakis girls. She was named the most-improved player on the team after joining Dirkes and Triebenbach as all-conference players.

On the boys' side, Chase Triebenbach is part of the Silverstreaks' future after he was named the most-outstanding player as a seventh-grader this school year.

Triebenbach just missed top-eight honors in the CMC season standings by being the ninth-best player in the league by season average at 45.2. That led Osakis in Triebenbach's first season on varsity.

Sophomore Jacob Uhl was named the Silverstreaks' most-improved player. Uhl had a 50.33 scoring average, good for 20th best in the CMC.
