The Osakis girls tennis team is getting in some early-season competition outside of conference or section play.
The Silverstreaks went to the Pine City Power Tournament on Aug. 19 to take on some bigger schools and came back with a fourth-place finish among the eight-team field.
Osakis’ best finish came at No. 1 doubles where Camryn Hoffarth and Mara VanNyhuis finished second in their bracket. Kadyn Triebenbach and Sydney Rach were fourth at second doubles. Brittany Dietrich, Makenzie Lien and Ellie George teamed up to take fifth at third doubles, and Lexi Spychalla, Helena Zajac and Jayden Hensley were fourth at fourth doubles.
In singles, Larissa Hoffarth led the way with a third-place finish at the fourth spot in the lineup. Tia Dykema was fifth at first singles, while Alexa Lien and Kennedy George were both sixth at the second and third spots, respectively.
