The Osakis wrestling team went to BOLD for a quadrangular on Tuesday and came back with a 1-2 record.

The Silverstreaks beat Quad County 45-34 around a 45-33 loss to BOLD and a 58-24 loss to Paynesville Area.

Osakis jumped out to an early lead against Quad County with back-to-back pins from Jacob Taplin (106, 1:29) and Logan Grove (113, 0:46). Gaven Cimbura (126, 1:23) and Nathan Kulzer (138, 0:54) also had pins. Kale Drevlow (145, 8-6), Clayton Neihaus (182, forfeit), Nathan Bjerk (195, forfeit) and Grant Winkle (285, forfeit) scored points to help get the team win, as well.

Taplin (106, 8-6) and Grove (113, fall, 0:36) got wins against BOLD to start that match. Kulzer (138, 3:44), Drevlow (145, 1:23), Tyson Hagedon (152, 3:12) and Bjerk (195, 3:02) added pins as well, but the Warriors closed things out by winning five of the last six weight classes.

Grove had a perfect day overall with a 3-0 record by pinning Brandon Hess of Paynesville early in the first period. Kulzer did the same at 138 pounds with a first-period pin against Trent Soine, and Drevlow followed suit at 145 with a pin in 2:47. Hagedon got Osakis’ final win against Paynesville with a pin in the third period at 152 pounds.
