The Osakis wrestling team posted a 1-2 record at its home quad on Tuesday with its win coming in a 45-30 final against Ortonville.
That came around a 56-19 loss to Eden Valley-Watkins and an 80-0 loss to Class A’s fourth-ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.
The Jaguars are 12-0 in duals this season and showed why by posting a nearly perfect score against Osakis. They racked up six points through pins or forfeits at every weight class except 106 and 138 pounds, where they won major decisions.
The Silverstreaks got an early lead against Ortonville that held up. Jacob Taplin won 7-4 at 106 pounds, and Logan Grove (113, 0:41) and Gaven Cimbura (120, 0:32) followed with pins. Nathan Kulzer, Carsten Jacobson, Kaleb Helberg, Ryan Milhausen and Nathan Bjerk all had forfeit wins for Osakis to secure the team win.
Taplin got a second win of the night in a 14-2 major decision at 106 pounds against Eden Valley-Watkins. Grove got a forfeit win at 113, Cimbura pinned his man in 35 seconds at 120, and Helberg won a 7-5 decision at 160.
